Welcome to the page for the eighteenth conference of the International Courtly Literature Society (ICLS), which will be held at the University of Montpellier – Paul-Valéry (20-24 July 2026). The welcome ceremony for participants will be held on Sunday, July 19, in the late afternoon.

Following on from its 2023 conference on “Redefining Courtesy”, the 18^th conference of the International Society for Courtly Literature (to be held in Montpellier from 20 to 24 July 2026) will this time explore the concept of “Courtly Knowledge”.
